Since I have Adobe Pro (not reader) it's never been an issue to fill them out but the information posted on government websites says you need Adobe Reader to fill them out. Can other readers (like Sumatra or Foxit) actually be used to fill out these SmartFomrs? I've never tried so I really don't know the answer... (as I say, I have the full Adobe version so never had to try) 00:27:38 Tom Trottier: PDF24? 00:27:48 Tom Trottier: Sumatra is only a reader 00:28:32 Tom Trottier: so you can't fill in forms with sumatra 00:28:39 Bob Herres: Wow! I knew Adobe reader had problems years ago... ( I also use Foxit PDF ) It's Amazing that Adobe is still so Horrible now? Its so sad, that so many users, have no idea... Thx Chris 00:28:46 Jocelyn Doire: Just wondering what happens if one opens that malicious PDF file into another PDF reader? 00:31:00 Tom Trottier: Adobe Reader is as good as Ado be Flash! 00:33:11 Tom Trottier: For printing, you really need to colour "profile" your monitor and your printer - maybe even your camera. Search the internet for lots of guidance about this. 00:33:35 Chris Taylor, President OPCUG: @jeff - one way to handle the possibility that a replacement PDF reader won't work, leave Adobe Reader installed but make your other reader the default. So opening PDF files normally open in the replacement reader. If you have a problem AND TRUST THE SOURCE OF THE PDF, open Adobe Reader and from the File menu, load the PDF in quesiton 00:35:26 Chris Taylor, President OPCUG: Calibrating computer screen and printer https://www.dpreview.com/articles/6848926575/intro-to-color-calibration-how-monitor-calibration-actually-works 00:36:11 Tom Trottier: Big prints are seen from a distance - so really, 16 megapixels looks sharp unless you really lean in 00:36:46 Chris Taylor, President OPCUG: @Tom Trottier - so true.
