It will only show in File Explorer (as g:/) if the app is actually running. I use Google Drive but I do NOT start it automatically. You should still see Google Drive under c:/users/[username]/My Drive/ even if the app is not running. 00:26:00 Chris Taylor: Brave memory saver setting https://support.brave.com/hc/en-us/articles/13383683902733 00:26:56 Micheline: If I cannot copy, I just switch off JavaScript 00:27:38 Chris Taylor: @Jeff - but if the app is not running, dropping a file there won't synchronize files between your computer and the web - which is the reason why I use it. 00:28:09 Chris Taylor: YouTube Tech Pocketnowhttps://www.youtube.com/@Pocketnow 00:31:12 Chris Taylor: The Institute for Canadian Citizenship https://www.inclusion.ca/ 00:33:22 Chris Taylor: Top 70 Canadian News Websites https://blog.feedspot.com/canadian_news_websites/ 00:34:16 Chris Taylor: FreeFileSync Q&A 2023-06-28 - Microsoft seems hell-bent on destroying File History https://opcug.ca/qa_recordings/20230628_PowerPoint.pdf FreeFileSync download https://freefilesync.org 00:38:21 Jeff Dubois: Replying to "@Jeff - but if the a..." Yes that's true, the app must be running in order to sync to the cloud AND g:/ will only appear in File Explorer IF the app is running. Very handy to access those files that were synced when you don't have Internet access. 00:52:42 Chris Taylor: TreeSizeFree https://www.jam-software.com/treesize_free?ca=1 Cleaning up disk space at previous Q&As https://opcug.ca/qa_recordings/20201104_PowerPoint.pdf https://opcug.ca/qa_recordings/20201111_PowerPoint.pdf https://opcug.ca/qa-2018/ https://opcug.ca/qa_recordings/20220316_PowerPoint.pdf 00:53:37 E O'Driscoll: I seem to recall that something very much like TreeSize used to come with Windows! It is very useful. 00:54:00 E O'Driscoll: Not sure why Microsoft removed it but maybe resource usage issues. 00:54:58 Chris Taylor: TreeSize is VERY quick. Plus it gives a really nice presentation - quite customizable - of your files 01:00:37 Chris Taylor: .NET Core should not be touched. Lots of apps use this 01:05:05 Stew Bruce: Going through all that stuff is also a good way to learn what that stuff you never use, is. 01:05:41 Chris Taylor: Everything - https://www.voidtools.com/downloads/ 01:06:08 David Clark: I have an issue with FFS  mirror. FFS wants to add a file to the right side when I know that the file is already on the right side. Tried uninstall and reinstall of FFS to get rid of its data base. No luck... problem still exists. 01:06:37 Bill: Thanks everyone.
