00:20:59 Chris Taylor: https://nakedsecurity.sophos.com/2020/09/28/525634/ 00:24:52 Bob Herres: Thank you , I’m having “some issues” ...Thanks to your very wise advice, I have paused my “optional updates “ 00:31:48 Micheline: Years ago I got hit with ransomeware which encrypted all my data drives, including my backup drive. A technician at Orleans Computer knew how to decrypt all the files. Unfortunately, Orleans Computer no longer exists and I have lost track of that technician. 00:33:52 Micheline: Remember to disconnect your external drive after doing your backup, so that it cannot be encrypted by ransomeware. 00:35:25 Jocelyn Doire: Even if you restore your system, the bad guys probably still have the credentials to access it, so you should keep disconnected from the internet, restore and replace the credential, only then reconnect. 00:48:21 Lawrence Patterson: Separate computers for each spouse makes for happy spouses. 00:49:54 Eldon Gaw: Linda, you could use that to your advantage,..A couple of weeks before your OWN bithday search for jewley stores and something you might like for YOUR birthday!!! ;-) 00:51:26 Micheline: I find my finger is too big to hit the file transfer button. 00:51:58 Micheline: Is there a way to use a mous with the phone to click on that button? 00:54:55 Micheline: What is the name of your FTP program? 00:56:33 Alan German: Filezilla is my FTP client - Windows and Linux 01:00:31 Micheline: While I am on Zoom listening to you guys, if I switch to Word or anothe browser tab, when I switch back, my zoom connection has gone. How do I stop this happening, or get back to the conference quickly? 01:03:36 Jocelyn Doire: maybe you can use alt-tab to switch back 01:04:44 Micheline: Thanks Jocelyn - Alt+Tab does work. 01:10:13 Jocelyn Doire: regarding the finger too big, how about using a stylus? I never tried that, so I don't know how well they would work with your device 01:13:02 Micheline: I think I will try Alan's method of photo transfer using an FTP client, rather than trying to use a stylus. Thanks for suggestion. 01:13:06 Alan German: Jocelyn - Good idea for the stylus. That should work. Cheap stylus - to try - available at the dollar stores. 01:15:14 Lynda Buske: Some cheap ones don't work well. I am very happy with the one I bought at Staples. 01:15:40 Jocelyn Doire: A search for "mouse for cell phone" came up with many choices, for example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvujtKbSFMc 01:16:25 bea alt: How do you set up an offsite admistrator account 01:17:53 Micheline: From Jocelyn Doire to Everyone: 08:24 PM regarding the finger too big, how about using a stylus? Thank you ! 01:18:17 Micheline: Known Folders If you redirect or move Known Folders to OneDrive, then this assumes a) either you previously copied the Know Folders to OneDrive, or b) you previously moved the Known Folders to OneDrive. If a), then you still do not have access to the data in their original location (your computer) because your access requests will be redirected to OneDrive. If b), then you will not have access to the data in their original location (your computer) because it has been deleted during the move. 01:20:54 william Bradwin: Great meeting Chris & Alan...thank you so much.
