Annual General Meeting
Computer Programming – Then and Now?
Alan German, OPCUG

Many members of our club have a long history of using computers, and for quite a number this has included some aspects of computer programming. In tonight’s presentation, Alan German will take a look back at his own involvement with computers over more than five decades. This includes using platforms from mainframes to smartphones, programming from assembler to JavaScript, and almost everything in between!

  1. The Editor has access to comments also, but only through the dashboard. However, I suspect this commenting feature will disappear completely in the not-too-distant future!

  2. Personally, I don’t think we need blog functionality. Those who are members have access to OPCUG-Member-Forum. I don’t think we need comments from non-members. They can always use the “contact us” list.

Weird – in both Chrome and Edge, the “Post comment” black box below “Save my name…” only appears when you hover the mouse over that area. I thought you really didn’t want comments, since I didn’t see any way to post until I randomly moved my mouse cursor around.
