Genealogy Websites You May Have Been Missing

Enhance your research with this potpourri of free genealogy sites that you’ll wonder how you’ve missed. Genealogy Potpourri, out-of-the-box genealogy resources: useful websites that may not be on your radar: From finding county and family history books, going beyond Cyndi’s list (https://www.cyndislist.com/), to using obituaries to find living people, learn about free sites that will enhance your genealogy research. One website that will be especially featured in this presentation is Ancestry that can be accessed in Ottawa through the public library.

A retired educator and administrator, Sue Mueller is a member of the Computer Users of Erie (Erie, PA), where she leads the Genealogy Special Interest Group. She has been working seriously on genealogy for more than 35 years and has used Family Tree Maker genealogy software since 1996, including participating in beta testing. An active participant and presenter for the Erie Society for Genealogical Research, she has taught regular genealogy classes for the Erie County Public Library (both in person and via Zoom) for many years.
