Micro Controllers and the Internet of Things
February 10th, 2021
As has been the case since the onset of COVID-19, this meeting will be via Zoom video conference (connection details below).
Speaker: Deid Reimer, Victoria Pi Makers
We are welcoming back Deid, as he joins us from our warmer Canadian west coast. He will expand on his September Raspberry Pi presentation by connecting additional inexpensive and small computers to fulfill every geek’s Internet of Things (IoT) dreams.
Deid will show us a variety of practical uses and give us a glimpse of the programming / setup involved in the electronic monitoring of his deck, pond, green house and kiln, along with utilizing cameras to keep track of it all.
His presentation on microcontrollers will describe a few microcontrollers, and will focus on the Espressif Systems ESP8266 and ESP32 with examples.
